In the years 1997-2001, within the framework of research project commissioned by the Polish Committee for Scientific Research entitled Geopolitical dimension of Polish socio-economic space (no. 6 PO4E 5310, headed by the late prof. Marcin Rościszewski) eight volumes were published. In the years 2002-2010 eight subsequent volumes appeared, partly in collaboration with the Rzeszów University under editorial guidance of prof. Jerzy Kitowski.
