This project attempts to identify the rivers’ responses to climatic- and anthropogenic- changes in Poland and Taiwan. Understanding the rivers' responses can be a strong basis for designing the pathway toward sustainability in mountainous areas. Specifically, we will collect the existing second-hand datasets, including the landuse inventory, DTM, and hydroclimatic metrics. Later, we plan to investigate hydrogeomorphic dynamics via British River Habitat Survey (RHS), R-USLE, Connectivity Index (IC), and SWAT modelling (soil and water assessment tool) in Poland and Taiwan rivers. This unique dataset can aid in assessing the river resilience under various forcings in different mountainous areas, which is of help for mountain management.
