The primary focus of our research, adhering closely to the convention of urban social geography, is centered around tracing the mechanisms of urban and metropolitan areas transformations taking place in Poland and Central Europe. Also, the Department carries out research studies into, broadly conceived, land management as well as regional, transport and tourism geography.
